Here you will have the chimpanzee tracking experience and then head to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, the prime home for mountain gorillas. Almost three quarters of the world’s total population of the mountain gorillas call this park a home.

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park
Either on arrival at the airport, or after breakfast at the lodge where you will have spent the overnight. Embark on the journey to Kibale national park which is the primate capital of the world with more than 400 chimps habituated here and other primate species. This 5 to 6 hours’ drive offer spectacular views of the green lush that lies along the highway, it also goes through huge tea estates with a very beautiful scenery to view.

Day 2: Chimp trekking and Bigodi Community
Set off to the park headquarters early morning after breakfast for some simple briefing about chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. Start on the move in the forest to search for the impressive chimps that live here. The fact that Kibale is the primate capital of the world, chimps here are in huge numbers of the chimps making their trekking quick and very easy to spot them in the branches of the trees, jumping from one branch to another, as they play and chase each other and feeding.
Visit the Bigodi local community around the park in the afternoon after lunch. A longer stay here takes you to the community school and the water source. Visit the Bigodi women’s group and buy souvenirs to take back home after the safari in Uganda. Dinner and overnight as on Day 1.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park
From breakfast, we transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park, a renowned destination for gorilla trekking in the whole world. The drive still gives you comprehensive views of the Rwenzori Mountain of the moon and virunga chain of mountains on the boarder of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and the Batwa community
An early breakfast and move to the park headquarters for briefing from the local guides. After the briefing, start on the journey into the impenetrable misty Jungle on the search for mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking involves a strenuous hike through the montane forest without clear paths but rather having to pave your way to the top with the help of the local guide.
On the search, meet several other primate species like the white and black colobus monkeys, baboons and others as well as different bird, butterflies and reptile species. Spend an hour with the gorillas, watching them play from one tree branch to another, fight each other and their way of life. Take as many pictures as you want provided the camera doesn’t have a flashlight.
Later visit the Batwa community, the first inhabitants of the impenetrable forest of Bwindi, experience how they used to hunt in the bush using the arrow and bow, visit the community’s shrines and also taste the local cuisines of these ancient people, Also engage in the in the traditional dance and songs performed here, dinner and overnight as on Day 3.
Day 5: Departure
In the morning, have breakfast and then checkout of the hotel and depart back catch up with the flight back home at the airport.
