3 Day Gorilla trekking Rwanda allows you explore Kigali city, track the rare golden Monkeys and the endangered gentle giants (mountain gorillas) in the foggy jungles of Volcanoes National Park.
To successfully track mountain gorillas in Rwanda, visitors must be in very good physical condition, no heart problems and ready to spend strenuous hours in humid rain-forests, steep – slippery terrain and high altitude trekking for mountain gorillas and other primates Golden Monkeys.

DETAILED ITINERARY – 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS

DAY 1: KIGALI TOUR – DRIVE TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast to hotel, visit Gisozi Genocide Memorial site and learn about the somber history of the country. Take a community walk through local markets, art and craft shops, Nyamirambo Township. Take lunch (in hotel or descent local restaurants), later hit the road northwards to your lodge located just on the foot hills Volcanoes national park. Our lodge provide stunning volcano views; Virunga Lodge, Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, Five Volcanoes Lodge, Villa Gorilla or Mountain Gorilla View Lodge among others. DAY 2: GORILLA TRACKING ADVENTURE AND COMMUNITY WALK

Wake up early for heavy breakfast and assemble at the park headquarters to meet the park rangers / guides for orientation, allocation to a gorilla group in your ability to track and embark on the hike whose length and difficulty may vary depending on the location of the gorilla group you are looking for. Spend an hour observing these beautiful and endangered creatures, take photos (not using flashlight) and videos. Descend to the lodge to refresh, relax as you wait for lunch. In the evening, expand your knowledge of gorillas through an in-depth lecture from one of the head wardens of Volcanoes National Park, or we can organize a dinner with gorilla doctors, share facts about these “Gentle Giants”. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 3: VISIT DIAN FOSSEY TOMBS OR GOLDEN MONKEYS – DEPARTURE

Enjoy another adventurous hike to watch these unique, playful, lively and endangered species, the golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. Alternatively, we can hike to the tombs of the late Dian Fossey nestled between the beautiful peaks of Karisimbi and Bisoke. Return to the lodge for lunch and hit the road back to Kigali Airport or Hotel where the tour ends.
